Zerofootprint and Net Impact: Small Ideas Challenge

Connecting with future business leaders: The Zerofootprint and Net Impact Challenge

Zerofootprint is hosting a contest in collaboration with Net Impact, a student group at the Schulich School of Business devoted to using business for social impact. The contest is being launched in conjunction with environmental awareness activities taking place across York University’s campus.

We are challenging students to come up with a winning Small Idea that Can Change the World. The idea must empower individuals to create positive change by reducing their ecological footprint. The mandate of Zerofootprint’s Small Ideas program is to prove that a simple idea can bring about massive change. All submitted ideas must correspond with Zerofootprint’s criteria for Small Ideas that Can Change the World. (See www.zerofootprint.net/ideas/default.asp).

The challenge is open to students at the Schulich School of Business and York University. The student who comes up with the best idea will be awarded $500 and their idea will be posted on our website. The winner will be announced on March 2nd, 2006 at the closing celebration of Sustainability Week Career Fair at York University. Dr. Ron Dembo, Founder and CEO of Zerofootprint will present the award and reveal the winning idea.
