A recent report from the Union of Concerned Scientists reveals that cigarette companies and oil producers have more in common than manufacturing things that harm your health. It turns out that ExxonMobil has been using the services of a non-profit created by the tobacco industry to dispute the science behind the notion that smoking is bad for you. Now the same group is being paid by the oil companies to argue that emissions from burning fossil fuels don’t cause global warming.
