Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper urged other leaders at the UN Conference on Biological Diversity to do more to reduce the rate of disappearing species in order to achieve a 2010 international objective. He stated that the world’s flora and fauna are “disappearing at a disturbing rate.”
The Harper-Baird climate plan has been leaked to the press, and despite the fact that Baird promised it would be the most ambitious in the world, it is barely distinguishable from doing nothing at all.

The consultant, Mark Jaccard, has said that the Conservative scheme does not do enough to reduce greenhouse gas.
