Incomprehensible! That is the word many fieldworkers use to describe the lack of good sanitary facilities in many countries. More than 2.6 billion people have no access to decent sanitary facilities; 80 percent of them (1.9 billion) are in Asia, according to figures from the Asian Development Bank. These large numbers are not really surprising, as China, India and Indonesia are among the top-five of the world’s most populous countries.
