According to a report by the Toronto Coalition for Active Transportation, Toronto is lagging behind Montreal and Vancouver as a bike city. Although Toronto has more bike lanes, the city’s ranking drops when land mass is taken into account.

“The ports of Seattle, Tacoma and Vancouver, B.C. released an updated draft of their plan to cut maritime industry air pollution by 2015 on Thursday, including for the first time specific emissions reduction goals for trucks and trains.”

The David Suzuki Foundation has released a report with recommendations for the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver to become carbon-neutral. It states that the 2010 games could be the most “climate-friendly” if these recommendations were followed through by the Olympic organizers.
