Toronto’s Theatre Passe Muraille is boldly bringing sci-fi where it rarely has gone before… to Live Theatre! Noble Parasites is two short plays by award-winning playwright Mike McPhaden. The issue of the environment is at the heart of both plays and Theatre Passe Muraille wants Toronto’s green community to check it out.

Noble Parasites tells two stories, The Bookworm and Sea Change. The Bookworm takes place hundreds of years in the future. The surface of the Earth is inhabitable and people are living underground practicing strictly regulated conservation to atone for the excesses of previousgenerations. Sea Change is set a number of decades in the future and Earth is on the brink of environmental disaster and governments are turning a blind eye to the issue.

Theatre Passe Muraille presents the World Premiere of NOBLE PARASITES, written by Mike McPhaden and directed by Rebecca Brown. It previews from April 5, opens Wednesday April 11 and continues to April 29.
