TARS potlucks are one of the best ways to meet likeminded people, socialize, and participate in a free exchange of ideas.

Fast Food Nation will be shown at this potluck event. Everyday, 80 million North Americans eat at fast food restaurants. Fast food is factory food, and it is largely responsible for the growth of factory farming over the past 50 years. Consumers increasingly want cheaper and cheaper meat (and other products), and they want it available on a whim. As a society, we give little thought to how our food and other products are produced, or whether people or animals suffered for us to get our products so cheaply. Fast Food Nation opens up the closed doors of fast food chains, factory farms, slaughterhouses, and the homes of the families affected by them, to force us to think about the consequences of our consumption choices.
