Vegetarianism Workshop with Ted Lafferty
If you care about the environment then the most potent way to protect it is by being a vegetarian. One of the greatest destructive forces on the planet is the meat industry. It takes 2500 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef as opposed to 25 gallons of water to produce one pound of wheat. In this workshop, you will learn about why vegetarianism is important to the health of the planet, nutritional tips on being a healthy vegetarian and what vegetarian foods are least harmful to the environment.
Ted Lafferty has been a passionate nature lover since early childhood. He has been a vegetarian for 7 years and has helped others adopt this lifestyle through vegetarian and sprouting workshops. He is currently studying nutrition and is a certified Jivamukti yoga teacher. He has been a part of the environmental movement in many ways and is excited to bring his approach of eco-vegetarianism to Grassroots.
